
Senior Portraits mark an important milestone... it’s the photos that you will share with family and friends, plus it’s what immortalizes you in the yearbook. A compelling portrait is a collaboration between you and the photographer. You can help get the portrait you desire by following a few basic tips:
Clothes
* Wear your favorite outfits that shows your personality
* Solid colors and long sleeves photograph best
* Consider bringing letter jackets, sports equipment, or a musical instrument to
express your interests, making your portraits personal
* Clear or neutral colored nails work best
* When styling your hair, choose a comfortable style you know looks good
* Don't get a last minute haircut. Give your hair a week or so to grow out
* Bring all clothes on hangers. Be sure clothes are not wrinkled
* Bring a variety of outfits - both causal and formal
* Coordinate your outfit from head to toe
* Girls- Dresses w/ boots or cute shoes
Skin
* Minor blemishes and scars will be removed by retouching
* Avoid sunburn and tan lines
* Girls- Avoid makeup with sparkles and SPF. You can bring your makeup to the session
* Girls- Your nails will show in some portraits. Be sure fingernails and toenails are polished
Jewelry
* Girls-Bring Jewelry for each outfit
Props
Props are recommended. Bring props that are a part of your life and personality. For example:
* Musical Instrument
* Letter Jacket
* Sports Uniform/Jersey
* Hats
